The Athens, PA 2015 Walk from Obesity, presented by Guthrie Health and the Guthrie Weight Loss Center, will be held atop beautiful Round Top State Park overlooking the “Valley.” The walk path is a 1/3 mile loop on a flat road surface surrounded by scenic woods. This is a “set your own pace” event. Walk as much or as little as you want. The full walk/run distance will be 3 miles or 9 loop laps. The KIDS FUN RUN will be 1/3 mile or 1 loop lap.
Directions to the park: From U.S. 220 at Greens landing, turn west onto Wolcott Hollow Rd at the Dandy Mini Mart. After 0.5 miles turn right onto Round Top Rd and go about 1.0 mile to the stop sign. Turn right again and continue on Round Top Rd. to the Park. There are small green signs pointing the way. Shuttle services to the top of level of Round Top will be provided by Guthrie Shuttle Services.
